I will talk about the coherent and non-dissipative process of subharmonic generation that converts carrier frequency of ultrafast pulses to its half and dramatically augments the spectrum. Applications of this technique include random number generators, coherent Ising machines, broadband frequency combs, and dual-comb spectroscopic studies in the mid-infrared region of the spectrum.
